Queerterback

It is amazing how QB-centric the NFL has become. I like to see teams where the actual players get the credit. Some quarterbacks, like Ben Roethlisberger and Tony Romo (and our very own Zach Green) have earned my respect. On the other hand, the other quarterbacks in the league get way too much respect. (Eugene Smith is overrated) Sorry for going off topic. Entering this years draft is the pretty boy himself, Mark Sanchez. I really hate to see players who are so centered around their off-field looks (Really? A headband? Come on...). This is the prime example of overrated quarterbacks in their glory. The players who deserve the credit are the skill positions and the players in the trenches. No way on Earth someone as uninvolved in actual physical contact as the quarterback should get this much rep as Sanchez does. When they beat Penn State, the USC queerterback was hailed as a star. If Penn State would have beaten USC, the story would have been written that he made a winning effort in a losing situation. I lose my mind when stuff like this happens. I really want to rip my hair out. He does not lift heavy weight, he does not hit hard, he does not run fast, he doesn't even bring water to the other players. What he does is flick his wrist. Ping pong players do that, too, ya know.

  1. Hilarious. I agree. I just feel like a lot of quarterbacks get credit they don't truly deserve. Although I'll admit I don't have the Football knowledge to truly give you a detailed description on Quarterbacks that receive unfair credit, it kills me when I'm watching a game on the television and a touchdown is made and everyone credits the quarterback but the wide receiver that just broke his back jumping over 6 guys and getting tackled right on the line of the end zone gets ignored. It's a bit ridiculous.

  2. Thank you Collin for giving those big boys in the trenches credit. But yes quarterbacks get way to much respect but it all starts out with the line in front. Great work Collin

  3. They call me the trenchmen. Without a line, a Quarterback's got nothing. At the same time, could you imagine me or Tucci trying to complete a 40 yrd pass to win the game? That's some serious pressure. There are a lot of QB's that are over rated, but don't forget about the littler-ego guys, who just go out there to do their job. All in all, very well written man, made me feel a little better about playing OL/DL
