A Legend Retires

John Madden has had an illustrious career as a television commentator for the National football league. He has recently retired much to my dismay. Even though he had a fair portion of unintelligent things to say (and draw), he was a definite football legend. Not only is he the namesake of the Madden football series, but he has been a lovable (no homo) TV commentator since my childhood. R.I.P. NFL Commentary (Yes, John Madden was dumb as a lamp post, however, I digress).

  1. Everybody I talk to about the retiring of John Madden says that they really don't care. While I never thought of him much as a broadcaster I am still sad to see him leave the game. The man is a Hall of Famer in every aspect of the word. He is in the NFL Hall of Fame for all three categories. He is a Hall of Fame player, coach, and broadcaster. Most importantly he put football video games on the map and has attracted thousands of fans to the sport. The man was revolutionary in his ideas of creating the most realistic video game and will forever be remembered as one of the biggest names in the sport. I will miss him on MNF
